Preschool Class
Little Lambs & Teddy Bears
(2-4 Years Old)
MATH & SCIENCE ACTIVITIES
Number recognition and the concept of counting 1-10 objects. Use of number games, crafts, music & finger plays. Learn basic shapes: Circle, Square, Triangle, Star, etc. Fishing for shapes. Science topics include: Senses (sweet, sour, salty.) Water (objects that sink or float.) Seasons (fall leaves, winter snowman, spring butterflies and animal babies, summer fruit and nature collage) and many more science projects.
ARTS & CRAFTS / FINE MOTOR DEVELOPMENT
Draw / color within the lines (teaches spacial awareness, hand-eye coordination and small muscle dexterity), Learn how to use scissors, paste/glue, paint, chalk, and water colors. Learn to identify 10 colors: Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, white, & pink. Projects will include: Creation books, Noah's Ark pictures, Thanksgiving Art, Christmas projects, scrolls, Valentine decorations, Easter Baskets, and more
Pre-Kindergarten Class

PRINTING / READING READINESS
Print with top to bottom and left to right progression. Print first name, identify alphabet letter names, produce letter sounds with Zoo-phonics characters and songs. Introduction level of printing for all upper and lower case letters (3 letters per month, the 4th week is review), identify and produce rhyming words.
REINFORCEMENT OF PHONICS / LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
Reinforce and review the phonetic sound of the week through Zoo-phonics arts, crafts, games and cooking projects. Read a story finding the phonetic sound of the week. Understand the concept of opposites (forward-backward, high-low), respond to position words (over, under, around, through)
MATH / SCIENCE
Count objects 1- 25, identify numerals, categorize objects by shape, color, size, and texture, find shapes in the environment, identify size differences (large-small), sequence different sizes (small, smaller, smallest), measurement (height, weight, cup, teaspoon). Science projects include: planting, animal families, five senses, four seasons, nutrition & food groups, butterflies, insects, life cycle of a frog and more.
HOLIDAY & BIBLE ARTS & CRAFTS / FINE MOTOR SKILLS
Draw / color within the lines (teaches spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination and small muscle dexterity), cut on straight / curved lines, use paste/paint/glue and learn to identify 10 colors. Projects will include: Creation books, fall leaves, Noah's Ark pictures, Thanksgiving Art, Christmas projects, scrolls, Valentine & Easter decorations and more.
